Winter in the Scenic Rim

It's all happening in the Scenic Rim this winter!

This Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th June is the Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular at the Boonah Showgrounds. Watch these magnificent working horses in led competition, carriage and harness classes. There will be rare trades demonstrations that focus around the heavy horse, including harness making, blacksmiths, wheelwrights and whip plaiting. Other entertainment includes a mix of Australian bush skills and Scottish traditions including whip cracking, the World Billy-Boiling Championships, wood chopping, working dog displays, Friesian Horse Troupe performances, bush poetry, pipes and drums, Calling of the Clans, the Clydesdale and Clan class and traditional Scottish caber tossing!

Scenic Rim Eat Local Week starts on the 25th June with a packed program of food events throughout the region. Our Tours are booked out already, but there is still plenty to enjoy as a self drive tour, from wineries to tasting tables, markets and local farm shops.

Don't miss the Winter Harvest Festival on Saturday 2nd July. This event celebrates the diverse food and beverages of our region. Enjoy market stalls, celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, tractor pulling competition and live music. Meet the farmers and producers, enjoy taste testing the freshest produce and choosing your favourites to purchase and take home. Don't forget your esky! There is also plenty of entertainment for the kids.

If you can't make it out here this June, why not contact us to book a private tour for your own special Scenic Rim winter experience?

Or join us for our next Girl's Day Out Tour on Saturday 6th August, for a fun day of food and wine with like minded women.
