Did you miss out on Tickets to this year’s Kalbar Sunflower Festival?

Local Taste Discoveries has managed to secure tickets for our guests on our exclusive bus tour!

We have exclusive access on Friday the 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April.

The tour includes pick up from Brisbane, entry to the Kalbar Sunflower Festival, morning tea, lunch at a historic country pub and drop off back to Brisbane.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the sunflower festival and experience historic Kalbar, all set in the picturesque Scenic Rim.

You will be able to immerse yourself in over 400,000 sunflowers planted on 16 acres! Surround yourself with yellow happiness. Bring your camera for a great sunflower selfie and other photo opportunities with the stunning Great Dividing Mountain range as a backdrop.

There’s so much happening at the Festival and we’re so excited to be able to take our Local Taste Discoveries Tour Guests there. There will be live entertainment, market stalls - selling all things sunflower themed, as well as food and beverages. You will get to experience the 8-acre maze, the first large scale sunflower maze in Australia, but please don’t get lost because you’ll miss out on lunch! Take home a bunch of sunflowers to brighten your home.

The Sunflower Festival was the idea of Kalbar lucerne farmers Jenny and Russell who needed a way to survive the crippling drought in 2019/20. Last year’s inaugural event was such a success that they are back again with a bigger and better festival. This year’s festival is also raising funds and awareness for the Cancer Council Qld.

After the sunflowers, you’ll get to browse the local shops in historic Kalbar and enjoy a great country pub lunch, before being driven back to Brisbane.
